For grandparents
A gift grandparents will treasure
Give Grandma and Grandpa a book where they go on an adventure with their grandchildren. For a birthday, Grandparents Day (September in the US, October in the UK and Australia), Mother's or Father's Day, or just because. Add a dedication from the grandchildren on the first page, in both languages.
From grandparents
Pass on the family's language and stories
Grandparents carry the stories, the recipes and the language. Make a book that takes the grandchildren to the places you grew up, written in the words you used at home, so they hear the language of the family every time it's read.
Story ideas with grandparents
Pick one, change it, or bring your own. Our storyteller shapes it around your family.
- A visit to where it all began. The grandchildren travel to the village, town or city where Grandma and Grandpa grew up, and see it through their eyes.
- Grandpa's secret recipe. A family recipe sends the children on an adventure through the market, gathering everything for the meal.
- The old photo album. A photo album comes to life, and each page opens onto a moment from the grandparents' lives.
- A festival together. Diwali lamps, Lunar New Year dumplings or Eid sweets, made with the grandparents who taught the family how.
- Across the ocean. Grandparents overseas and grandchildren far away, brought a little closer with every page.
- The garden and the stories. An afternoon in Nana's garden, where every plant comes with a story from home.

For grandparents far away
Send them the story, read aloud
Every Digital Edition includes a video of the whole book: a narrator reads each page in your family's language and English, with the words on screen. The tall version is made for phones, so grandparents can watch it on WhatsApp the moment you send it. Choose from 4 narrators, and hear every name said aloud before the book is made.
You can also make a private link so relatives anywhere can turn the pages on their phone or computer.
What the grandchildren call them
The book uses your family's own words for Grandma and Grandpa, in English and the family language. A few of the names families use, in some of our 25 languages:

See pricingQuestions about books for grandparents
Can grandparents be in the book without a photo?
Yes. Upload a clear photo and we draw them as a storybook character, or describe them in words instead, which is handy for a grandparent far away. Photos are deleted as soon as the character is made.
Is it a gift for grandparents, or from grandparents?
Either. Many families give it to grandparents, with the grandchildren and grandparents starring together. Grandparents also make one for their grandchildren, to pass on the family's language and the places they grew up.
Can grandparents who live far away see it?
Yes. Every Digital Edition comes with a read-aloud video of the whole book in both languages, including a tall version for phones that you can send on WhatsApp, and you can make a private link so relatives anywhere can read the book. A printed copy can be posted to their address, with free delivery to Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.
Which languages can the book be in?
Every page is in English and one of 25 family languages, from Hindi, Mandarin and Spanish to Sinhala, Tagalog, Greek and Irish. Tell us what the grandchildren call their grandparents and the book uses those words.
How much does it cost?
The cover and first 3 illustrated pages are free to preview. The Digital Edition is A$29.95, with every page illustrated, a print-quality PDF and the read-aloud video. A printed Premium Hardcover adds A$69.95, or a Softcover Edition adds A$59.95.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Send a book credit as a gift with your own message, and the person you give it to makes their own family's story. Or make the book yourself and share it, or post the printed copy straight to the grandparents.
